The Dominium Constitution

A New Economy

Imagine a community that supersedes government. Many of us already have: the EU, the UN, and others, for example.

In the end, governments are fundamentally just people organizing. The US Constitution helped establish the modern fact that governments are instituted by men. Whenever any form of government becomes destructive to the ends of securing the people’s rights, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it. Now, we in no way are anti-government, but understanding that it is the people that hold the power is prerequisite to any discussion of government.

An organization that supersedes government can be beneficial not in terms of superseding existing laws, but in providing more for its citizens than the existing government will ever be able to offer. This is a path to greater order, not chaos.

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, and benevolent and in doing good to all men. We believe in being subject to kings, queens, presidents, senators, legislators, etc. Let’s get that out of the way. Having a community that holds you to a higher standard does not negate the laws of your community. Being a senator doesn't mean you aren't a citizen.

However, we need to create a new technology in which our trust exceeds that which we place in government. This means that, first and foremost, Dominium holds participants accountable, not government entities. We cannot be decentralized and anonymous without being self-policing. We will have on-chain voting to solidify our laws. We will exercise judgment and blacklist bad actors in our community. The higher the Citizen’s rank, the more decentralized the trial will have to be. Citizenship is an honor; Citizens of Dominium will have great privileges. These privileges include the right to governance, access to property, and a universal basic income.

We are creating a community that secures our rights to life, liberty, and property. Many of our governments have not done that, or they cater to the elite in our societies. We have come together as Dominium citizens to gain access to resources through our pooled capital. Resources that provide life, liberty, and property.

Let’s break it down to the fundamentals. In modern-day society, what is it that provides ownership?

It’s trust. We build governments to protect us, police forces to protect us from our community, and armies to protect us from others. We come together as a community to enforce that trust. Because we trust that a home will be ours after signing, we pay $500,000.

Dominium will implement a brand-new proof-of-trust protocol that will move these incredibly difficult and expensive value transfers on chain via proof of trust.

The government will have immutable and verifiable laws that are more effective than 100 pages of traditional finance. We will only sell and buy property within our community, with Citizens who have reached the status of Equestrian, Senator, or Freeman. These relationships are already being discussed by property owners in the community.

In regard to our Citizen status designations, we have flipped the Roman social order on its head: Plebe, Patrician, Equestrian, Senator, and Freeman, with Freeman at the top. One’s level of investment, time in the protocol, and wallet history will determine the level of trust and rank a government member has. High-ranking Citizens help buy property as ambassadors, with multi-signature transactions enforcing purchase funds. All transactions will be transparent, voted on, and published.

Much like the cryptocurrency lending markets, there are ways to create incredible levels of trust without even knowing the name of the other party. We will publish the fine-tuned specifics of proof of trust, but for now just know, if the problem we fix is true property ownership, the enforcement of this ownership cannot come entirely from governments. They are the ones inflating currency and taking property from their citizens. Our solution, therefore, cannot rely on them. Our solution has to be bigger.
